@AskRockStars There are some firewalls I can't deactivate because need work administrator permission. They won't help for this. Boooooooo
Frustrating as all worked fine before.
Thanks for the help anyway.
@AskRockStars downloaded spotify app an new laptop Windows 10 pro. Can't connect spotify to other devices (ie. Alexa). All on same wifi network. Re-downloaded both spotify and device, still not working. Grr
@AskRockStars No I opened the web player (it logged me in automatically) and controlled music from there, but still the app connect just shows the same thing. I know it is not your fault but I'm really frustrated as managing my music during the work day has become a chore
@AskRockStars I thought I replied to this but maybe I didn't. I'm on my own Wifi network, I do use a work VPN but the connect set up worked fine on that before. The issue also exists when I'm not using the VPN. The desktop app just doesn't want to connect to devices
@AskRockStars It is a work computer but on my home network and they allow Spotify. Was all fine before I got my new laptop now the desktop app just will not connect to any devices. I use a work VPN but just tried when not logged into that and no luck. It must b something with the desktop app.
@AskRockStars Thanks for your ongoing help here. I followed the steps to delete everything and reinstalled. I had to download from the spotify website and not the Windows app store as IT wouldn't give me admin permissions for this. Nothing has changed. Would the windows app store make a diff?
@AskRockStars It was pre-installed when I got the laptop. But I disinstalled it and reinstalled again from a link from the Spotify website and still the same
@AskRockStars Hey - this is all I see. All my devices are on the same Wifi and they can all connect, just not the laptop. Was working fine before but got a new laptop. Have reinstalled Spotify app and still not working. Thanks
