We have submitted a formal observational study registration to the U.S. National Library of Medicine Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS) for the OpenGenome platform.

Study design: Prospective observational registry. No intervention assigned. No participant contact. Enrollment target: 10,000 anonymous submissions over a 12-month primary data collection period.

What is being measured:
The registry's primary outcome is internal signal-source concordance: the proportion of primary biological signal claims in generated reports that are traceable to at least one retrieved PubMed or https://t.co/k3jXV0MLMd source returned in the same pipeline call. Secondary outcomes include confidence score calibration against dataset size, signal strength distribution across symptom categories, and inter-submission signal consistency.

Why registration matters here:
The AI-assisted biomedical analysis space currently operates without pre-registration norms. Methodology is typically described post-hoc, models are updated without version disclosure, and output schemas are proprietary. Pre-registration constrains outcome reporting, prevents methodology drift, and creates a publicly verifiable baseline against which results can be independently audited. We consider this a minimum standard for any platform making claims grounded in biomedical literature.

On data and ethics:
All submissions are anonymous at the point of collection. No personally identifiable information is gathered, stored, or transmitted. Human subjects review board status: Exempt. The platform does not produce clinical diagnoses. All outputs are explicitly scoped as research-grade signal reports for informational purposes.

I was at the absolute bottom with $ROTTING.
Chart blood red, bag holding heavy as fuck, community seething and full of doubt. A lot of paper hands already ran away saying “this shit is dead forever”. I even caught myself thinking “damn… is this actually over?”
