@qs_019@AnfieldSector Dude he’s so young, who knows what the future holds. Most soccer players aren’t at one club for longer than 5 years. We gotta stop thinking that anyone that signs HAS to want to be here forever
@AFC_Cookie_@smtm_LFC We fondly think of Firmino, Fabinho, Hendo, Wijanaldum, Luis Diaz etc… and those are just recent departures. It’s obvious that it’s a special scenario
A Geordie.
A Manc.
A Cockney.
An Irishman.
Trent is Scouse.
And with all due respect to everyone else piping up - only scousers understand how it feels to be shafted PURELY AND ONLY for MONEY by one of their own.
This was NEVER about Trent leaving for Madrid or new challenges.
No one on EARTH would begrudge him that.
It was all about doing right by the club that's given him everything.
Not f#cking over the club, so he and his weasel brother got many millions in signing fees because he ran his contract down.
We could all see it.
We said it.
He "hushed" the crowd with his lips & fingers at Anfield, like his divvy mate Bellingham did at Dortmund, when we all knew he was running his contract down and leaving the club with nothing.
Even Coutinho didn't do that.
We all knew he was leaving, he was decent enough to sign a new contract, as so to make sure the club got paid and that fee could be reinvested in the squad.
So please, don't get yourselves confused @GNev2@IanWright0@JillScottJS8.
This was never ever about 'them awful scousers' stopping a player from seeking new challenges and bettering himself.
Thank you.
@LeeDForster @FA_PGMOL This just tells me you didn’t watch the game at all. Go back and watch JUST injury time and tell me it didn’t deserve to go to 10:30
@gilbody04@Lea_EFC Fair. Only argument I have is that it’s still everyone else’s time too? Idk, it’s definitely weird, but idk why KDH would try again. Weird from all around I guess
@Izzzy_way@Lea_EFC Look up *dissent* in the rule books. Wasting time is wasting time, no matter how it happens. He was told not to, cause it disrupts the flow of the game and wastes time. He did it anyway, knowing he’s not supposed to. I just can’t feel bad for that
@gilbody04@Lea_EFC If there are things going on (forward and defenders jousting for position) that the ref deems necessary to say “wait for my whistle” then you have to wait. He did that both times cause the Everton forwards and LFC defenders were jostling too hard
