@EarlofJersey Another option would have been to subsidise all the independent schools by the same amount per (UK) student as the state schools receive then add the VAT to the parent paid part.
This would have the effect of minimising the difference to the lower end of the fee scale.
@007GameIOI really disappointed, restrictive, boring, may as well watch a movie, no freedom of movement, no decisions… pure tedium. This is like a game from 20 years ago.
@andrewhesselden The bit everyone misses is that you could do 3 months then leave for a day and do another 3 months. 180 days in a year is plenty (above which you are into residency anyway). The bit that hurts is 90 in 180 rolling.
Beyond your points the maths just doesn’t support buying it - assuming it’s £99 per month subs, your are nearly 6 years before break even… and if you write off the car - good luck getting the insurance company to recognise that value.
And yes I know I just transferred my existing FSD to my new MY 😂
@maxkarpis Jeez I wouldn’t trust @Revolut with my private banking. Yesterday they restricted all my accounts with no notice or warning. No timescales for resolution. Imagine if they did this to your private wealth!
@revolutsupport Yes sadly your DMs and in-app help are delivering nothing. No help, timescales or reason for this imposition. Just endless AI derived drivel.
I’ve long been a huge advocate of @Revolut, today out of the blue they froze all my accounts with no explanation, no warning and no timescales. No access to my money, all payments bounced. Customer service response - total AI slop.
Way to ruin a great customer relationship @Revolut.
Are we getting value for money from our "recurring" politicians?
As someone who supports increasing the salary of States Members, in order to attract people from the private sector, I am astounded at the tenure of some of our repeat candidates, and think it is useful to quantify how much they are costing us.
In this list I am looking only at members who've had more than one mandate prior to 2022.
@susanainjersey@EarlofJersey@TheOnlyGuru I’m completely onboard with this, ‘you only get what you pay for’. Basically we completely delete the opportunity to attract real talent. Instead in Jersey we go for ‘quantity over quality’.
@AndyJehan see the formal response from the UK Secretary of State for Transport re Tesla FSD (Supervised) rollout in the UK. Has Jersey adopted UNECE R171?
I reached out to my local MP @TomTugendhat to raise Tesla FSD (Supervised) with the Secretary of State for Transport @Heidi_Labour. Grateful to receive this attached response from the Secretary. Thank you both for your 20 April reply.
Humble request: let’s avoid unnecessary red tape and finalise the UNECE R171 updates. Supervised FSD is now approved & available in 9 countries/territories (US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Puerto Rico and the Netherlands — the first European country, approved 10 April 2026).
Tesla EMEA formally submitted documentation for UN R-171 approval and Article 39 exemptions in the Netherlands.
UK drivers deserve the same safe innovation without delay. And as a country we need to be forefront of technology and innovation and allow advance technologies that has demonstrated positive evidences
@teslaeurope@Tesla_AI@tesla_uk@TeslaOwnersUK
Jersey has the opportunity to act now, and get ahead of this inevitability, will we instead we wait until the UK does it that lamely and slowly copy?
We could right now be engaging with @tesla_uk to fast track FSD availability in Jersey.
@AndyJehan why not act now?
