Here’s a controversial take; if you have a supermajority, the presidency and a Supreme Court majority, and your party is functionally incapable of passing something as crucial as a federal Budget… maybe Democrats aren’t the problem?
Well MAGA, you F’ed around and now you’re finding out.
I’m sure you’ll forget the second some billionaire points you at the next dog-whistle instead of fixing your infrastructure or giving you healthcare, but enjoy the brief moment of clarity as the line goes down.
@root2omkar @AesPolitics1 Oh come on, the dude was going to pardon everything under the sun anyway the second he gets in. You’re naive if you didn’t already think he would.
Whelp, looks like Windows 11 24H2 is out in the wild with the usual bevy of “features” like Windows Recall we’ll need to “deal with”. Time for another visit to the oncologist I guess.
I’ve been busy over the weekend in Melbourne this year, catching up with friends again and making content creation connections. First convention in absolute years. Feet are killing me but my soul is full.
@CodySDax Nice list! From best to worst here’s my list:
Strange New Worlds
Picard (largely because of season 3)
Prodigy (season 2 was amazingly written!)
Lower Decks
Discovery (Not a bad show! I enjoyed it! But I’ve personally enjoyed the rest more.)
Short Treks
I don't personally understand the hate for #TheAcolyte, nor the complaints about episode length.
For the last six weeks I have gleefully watched a solid 28 minutes of cringe and then another highly entertaining 3-4 hours of angry YouTube reviews reinforcing my confirmation bias.
Spoilers ahead. My take on #TheAcolyte episode 3: The twist is that some or all of the four Jedi colluded to mind-trick Mae into starting the fire “For the greater good” or something. It would explain a few things.
@jay_carter_we@TaliesinEvitel@crookedworld303 Yes he does, it’s one of his primary revenue sources. He “reacts” to people’s content on his unmonetized Twitch channel, his editor goblins chop up and edit the vods and he makes bank on the YouTube Ad revenue while giving a fairly generous chunk to his editors.
@ActingMalconian I kind of feel a bit grateful I got to watch this growing up as it came out. Obviously I've binged it since then, but it was good getting to let it percolate over my young mind week to week. Very ahead of its time in terms of long-form storytelling.
To all the American nutjobs saying the #SydneyAttack would have gone down differently if our gun laws were weaker, you're right. He'd have used a gun instead of a knife and more people would have died.
