There are two reasons why DC is the most walkable, best quality of life city in America to raise a family in the urban core. First, the Height act makes neighborhoods walkable, second is that charter schools, even if you don’t ever attend them, make public schools much better.

And that’s why it’s really really important we need to make them walkable for families … especially families with little kids.

So people don’t move out of those places.

This is true. DC is a very good city. It could be a great city, one of the best in the world, if it got crime under control.

 — It's on a body of water
— It has an international airport ~25 minutes away
— The metro system is clean and efficient
— It's walkable
— You get all four seasons
– It's diverse in terms of career opportunity
— It's a center of gravity for anything policy-related
— It's an international city
— There's a lot of great restaurants
— There are places to go camping or hiking nearby
—  You can get to Europe in six hours
— Palantir has their 2nd or 3rd biggest office in DC
