A deal for Yan Diomande had previously looked increasingly achievable, but the situation has changed after Paris Saint-Germain entered the picture, with the player now understood to be leaning towards a move to the French champions.

Alongside Barcola, Liverpool continue to monitor several wide options, including Yankuba Minteh, El Mala and Pardo, as they weigh up alternatives across the market.
