It is inappropriate for your boss to make those kinds of jokes in a workplace, especially if you've signaled they make you uncomfortable. Musk, as an industry leader (unfortunately) should be held to an even higher standard.

Even if that attitude has changed in the past few decades, it still persists in the cultural hegemony, expressing itself through sexism or shame.
