#CFMSAGM2018 has been adjourned but a small group of students is participating in our brand new resiliency training program, STRIVE today on McGill campus, being ran by our newly installed President, Captain @stephsmith_VPSA !.. (time to change that twitter handle, Pres!)
What a phenomenal inaugural address from our new CFMS president @stephsmith_VPSA focussing on wellness and resiliency... this is definitely a leader I am happy to follow!! Upward. Onward.
Impassioned and powerful address by new @CFMSFEMC President @stephsmith_VPSA - recognizes that unless we address root causes of burnout and wellness we will not be able to provide the compassionate care we want to #CFMSAGM2018
Really impressed with the response from our CMA president @drgigiosler to my question about the ethical implications of digital transformations in Canadian healthcare @CFMSFEMC#CFMSAGM2018
ANNOUNCED TODAY - 2018 Recipients #CMHFAward for Medical Students - recognizing & inspiring a new generation of health leaders & innovators. https://t.co/uD8ClM0Bdd THANKS to our donors, med school partners across Canada and Presenting Sponsor @Financial_MD
So incredibly thrilled to announce that the Northern Ontario and Rural Medicine (NORM) committee was unanimously adopted as a permanent provincial committee on OMSA!! Shout out to Josée, my co chair, and the rest of the NORM for their tireless work this year!!
"Everyone's favourite buzzword these days is 'Resiliency', but it puts the burden on the learners. Systems, leaders, and MDs need to ask themselves "how can we make the training environment better, rather than telling learners they need to be more resilient"@cl_schweitzer#ccme18
@drdeepasoni@silvym98@michquaye@DrAliDamji@kaifpardhan@viivianng I’d more more than happy to discuss this issue face to face as I feel nobody got an explanation. Indigenous Canadians are more than patients with TB OR smokers. Respecting the land in which they have treaty rights to and historical context is the big picture.
@DrWarsh @drdeepasoni @LOIH_Western @kaifpardhan@silvym98@michquaye@DrAliDamji@viivianng It is cynical if it goes no further. The idea is that this raises awareness as a first step towards the long journey towards reconciliation. And it's quite an easy first step. https://t.co/dmmiSxyMQg
So sad that we have successfully brought this forward at our local NOSMSC and provincially at the @OMSAofficial and passed motions... and the OMA strikes it down without a speakers list? @OntariosDoctors https://t.co/WbYvRjWBot
