@honorablesaint If you look at early 20th century pictures all the women where hats. I don't know what the history of veiling is but women didn't wear veils long before Vatican II.

@lukeburgis Eh. I think this goes too far. Think of math, books, stories, etc. There is plenty that exists behind screens. It's more abstract so it is less real than walking through a forest or having an in-person conversation. But there is plenty of value in math, screens, etc.

@patio11 I think Austen is correct for a segment of the market. We have already done this in our little microcosm. We used to use a small portion of a SaaS product that wasn't even exactly what we wanted. So, we simply built that portion (tailored to us). No monthly cost and it's better.

What you're describing makes everyone poorer. Sure, they make good wages but their purchasing power is worse.
