Despite challenging economic conditions in Türkiye, businesses continue to strive to survive, grow, and maintain employment. However, over the past two months, many businesses have faced serious hardship after their Instagram accounts—built through years of effort and investment—were disabled without any satisfactory explanation.
In particular, many businesses and advertisers spending between 8,000 TL and 25,000 TL per day on advertising have had their accounts disabled. Appeals often go unanswered or are rejected without adequate review, and affected businesses are unable to access effective support channels.
Even more concerning is that newly created accounts intended to replace disabled ones are frequently suspended again within a short period of time. This severely disrupts communication with customers, damages brand value, and directly impacts sales and business operations.
As businesses that have invested for years in building our presence, creating jobs, and allocating significant advertising budgets to Meta platforms, we respectfully request greater transparency in account enforcement decisions, a fair and timely review process for appeals, and access to reliable support channels for businesses in Türkiye.
At a time when thousands of businesses are already facing economic challenges, the loss of their digital presence without clear justification is unacceptable. We urge Meta's leadership and relevant teams to address this issue urgently and provide meaningful support to affected businesses.
