@VaughnVernon Thanks for the pointer. So you recommend using a specialized zookeeper-like external service as a build dependency to manage your (formal) schemas. Like a common library where every team would publish and version their schema in an unsynchonized manner. Thank you.

I personally tend to believe that the sharing of this information should be informal only (as documentation, not as code). But that idea led to so much resistance (fear of duplication / synchronization) within the team that I gave up quickly.

There is a chapter about that in the book from @Cairolali. While it’s obvious (to the trained eye) that they are building technical debt. A client might well be happy for years with that. Who knew if they even needed a wall to start with. 🤷 #sustainablesoftware
