Elliotte Friedman: Re Ducks/Leo Carlsson offer sheet: [Pat Verbeek] has lost control, unfortunately for him, of the structure of his organization; who knows where this goes, but the Ducks might never be the same - 32 Thoughts (7/6)
I didn’t and still don’t get the whole dirty soda thing but there’s HUGE demand for it. A lady local to me got one going and she’s killing it. Shows I still have massive blind spots in life lol
We have tendered an offer sheet to Anaheim center Leo Carlsson. The offer is a five-year contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $18M, which would require four of the Flyers first-round draft picks in each of the next four seasons as compensation. https://t.co/nfhD4h6nEc
Lil Uzi Vert is going to trial against a California rehab facility and one of its employees, for allegedly secretly recording one of their therapy sessions that later ended up in a video posted online.
The Philadelphia rapper sued Oro House Recovery Center Acadia Malibu in June 2024, along with employee Lynn Tumpa and her minor nephew. The lawsuit claims that Tumpa secretly recorded a segment of one of Uzi’s therapy sessions during their stay at the rehab facility in 2022, then later shared it with her nephew before it ultimately ended up being shared on social media platforms, including X and Instagram in 2024.
On Wednesday (July 1), XXL spoke with Uzi's attorney, David Moreno, about the case.
"I don’t want to speak for Uzi per se, but I know that they were extremely disappointed," Moreno tells XXL. "Trust was broken. I would go so far as to say they were distraught by it. Obviously, you think about a rehab facility, which is supposed to be a very secure place, and medical treatment with medical professionals, that should also be very private. So, needless to say, for that to come out publicly was beyond disappointing for them."
The case is scheduled to go to trial in October.
XXL has reached out to the Oro House Recovery Center for comment.
Gudas dressing for a game in which he was too injured to play in, just so he could take his medicine is actually the exact opposite of being a bitch.
He didn’t throw a punch either. He knew he was in the wrong and let the leafs get their pound of flesh. Very honorable tbh
@Hockey_Robinson Surprised I wasn’t already, but this easily earned a follow from me. Neat to look back on, but you killed it with a lot of the assessments. Nice job!
Not gonna lie, it’s kinda weird to watch the NHL draft and know little to nothing about the vast majority of the prospects, outside the top handful I happened to see in passing this season.
My favourite event on the NHL calendar. Enjoy!
