The market does not stay easy all the time.

From my own experience what I've found :

For two to three months things click. My win rate sits around 60 to 70 percent. The setups I trust keep paying. I feel sharp. I feel like I finally figured it out.

Then one month arrives that feels completely different. The same price action that printed money now stops working. I take losses on 55-60 percent of the trades. Everything looks off. It feels like the algo changed or the market shifted personality overnight.

I used to lose my mind in those months. I would force trades, size up, try to get it back, and blow the account. I told myself that if I just got good enough those months would disappear.

They do not disappear.

At this level I know they come back no matter how skilled I become. That is how the cycle works. It is not a new algorithm. It is simply the market collecting its tax on the money I made in the previous two to three months.

If I can sit through that month without revenge trading, without changing my entire system, and without quitting, the next month and the one after usually pay me back with interest.

The real skill is not avoiding the hard month. The real skill is already expecting it, treating it as the cost of doing business, and protecting the account until the next stretch of easy money returns.

Survive the tax week or month. Thats what keeping me consistently profitable for past 3 years:)

No matter how you look at it, it is a simulation, because after all, there’s the existence of death (inability to experience reality)
I think this thought should sober us up. We have a limited time here, nothing is real: what you see as reality simply is your brain’s interpretation of your neuro-sensory pathway.
I’ve been on strong edibles before, it made me see sounds and hear colors. So if reality can be altered by drugs, then what’s actually real? The only certainty is that eventually, we will all cease to experience this simulation.
So nothing really ever matters.
You are in the simulation.
You’ll not be thinking about that one time you got stood up on a date when you’re dead. Nothing really matters. Stop caring too much about opinions and optics, it limits your ability to take risk and not be scared to fail.
You have about 9 decades to experience this simulation and do whatever your heart desires. Rather than spending each day living in fear, guilt and holding yourself back, maybe try giving less of a fuck and focus on experiencing more?

After all, like everyone in the history of our existence, your simulation will come to an end.
