@Mojo_flyin AMD didn't have the cash like NVDA for huge investments in Open AI (up to 100 billion from nvda) and other neoclouds - not anywhere close to the same extent. So they took the next best option.
@Mojo_flyin Also enabled AMD to confidently secure large supply with TSM, and now they will be supplying Anthropic and MSFT as well. Once entrenched, these relationships extend across multiple generations of products.
@Mar364503 In their earnings call, AMD said they have more capacity for next year than their guidance (which is for data center sales to at least double in 2027).
@yao30059829 AMD improved GPU revenue for sure but GPU revenue is a Q4 story, not Q2 or Q3. AMD specifically said they gained revenue share in Q2 and that in the second half of 2026 CPU server revenue will grow 80% year over year. That is fantastic.
@yao30059829 That is just a reddit post, not a reliable or credible source of information. Regarding Intel, Intel had average selling price increase of 48% which made their CPU revenue growth high. AMD already operates in the higher end segment and didn't have that leeway.
