@Scienceofsport People who whinge about SA's strategy need to remember that multiple knockout games were decided by late kicks (or missed kicks). SA could have easily lost the 1/4 final, NZ were a kick away from winning it all. It'd only be concerning if they were totally dominant (they weren't)
@Scienceofsport@damienholmes83@ProgressiveRug Fan of yours, Ross (and from NZ!). I listen to your podcast weekly, so get it & you explain it so well. But for 99% of rugby fans their only exposure is what they see/hear via TMO during a match. World Rugby could do a lot more to help fans understand the mitigating factors.
@VeronicaLake23@_chloeswarbrick Likewise, I've done well over 1000 assessments since late 2020. You're right many are in good condition, but there are a LOT bordering on uninhabitable too. Some areas like Murupara or parts of Rotorua (where I live) are absolutely shocking.
@quentoncassOAR@VioTumax@nickwillis Great question. I would assume that the ever-increasing amount of sophisticated physiological available now means training can be optimized for each person. When to rest, when to push, most effective training zones, interval lengths etc
@colinm1965 @NewstalkZB $1.71 in multiple locations in Tauranga, yet we'll over $2 at other locations in the area...someone making a lot of money somewhere
@timward2014nz @Ahmed_Osman26 All of what you've said is valid, however I strongly suspect there would be equal noise if someone like Grant Robertson or Chris Hipkins did this too
@FMoncinni @_chloeswarbrick Ultimately it's NZ's poor building code throughout the 2nd half of last century that is the cause, rather than landlords (altho we all know there are some shoddy ones)
Many older rentals would need to be fully gutted, re-lined & re-roofed to make them properly water-tight/warm.
@BarbSturmfels @annie_whittaker@simonbwilson@NZHCanvas@nzherald If they could bring out powerul electric utes, they'd go like hotcakes amongst both tradies and the agri community. But currently there's no decent low-emission option for those groups (and no, the new LDV ute doesn't cut it).
@canu_c_it@_chloeswarbrick The government haven't established set any qualification criteria or certification. There are multiple companies/franchises doing it across the country. Personally I'm 100% in support of a qualification/certification requirement for any assessor.
@greg_patel@BellunoNZ It'd also be valuable to understand what they believe they need (and perhaps what they have been declined). It may be that they are severely under-resourced.
@jefkay @MatthewHootonNZ @econ_hill That stat is somewhat inaccurate and misleading given it's 'by value' and the cost of building (plus inflation) has gone up significantly over the past 10 years
