Do I wish Krypto was Clark's dog? Yes
Do I think this is the most basic Superman story idea ever? Yes
Did the "yeah he is not even a good dog but he is alone and scared" work on me so much it made me emotional? Also yes
Also praises for this scene; the entire four minutes spent in Krypton/Argo is shot entirely in the fictional Kryptonian language and everyone kicked it out of the proverbial park, easily the best stretch of the movie and it's all in a made up alien language
