Not everything that demands your attention deserves it. The urgent things in life often shout the loudest, but the truly important things—faith, family, meaningful moments—tend to whisper.

We all have responsibilities and tasks that need to be done, but don’t let them crowd out what matters most: a date night with your spouse, a quiet morning with God before checking your phone, or playing catch with your child in the backyard.

Sometimes, busyness isn’t a choice—it’s a necessity. But if we’re honest, we often use “busy” as a way to avoid admitting we’re distracted. Maybe it’s time to pause and refocus.

Today, be intentional. Slow down where you can. Prioritize what truly matters over what simply feels urgent. There’s a chance you’ll find you still have time for what you have to do—and you won’t miss what’s important and lasts.
