@ACarpenDigital Definitely one of our aims is to help public servants be more discerning and confident users of evidence from all sources - and academia can help with that a lot!
@heather_e_white @LouisMMCoiffait And this one, with pretty poor formatting, but hopefully eventually will save us from fiddling around with those letters on maps!
A great opportunity to join my team this spring - if you're interested in the coalface of evidence-informed policy in the UK, definitely worth checking out!
I had a great time running this over the last two weeks - thanks to all the committed @UniOfYork students who were involved, and the dedicated staff at @UoYCareers who helped make it happen!
@AmyErtan Fair point, we'd love to make more £ directly available for placements. Currently most are funded via UKRI-supported DTPs, and we do offer an additional £2k to students travelling in from outside London. But we agree, there's always more we could do, we'll take that on board!
@MillennialTweet @openinnovteam Hi Andrew - good question! Placements are subject to the requirements of security clearance, which can take a bit longer for non-UK and EU nationals, but yes, we take non-UK/EU nationals quite often, and we encourage these applications.

We are lucky to have made incredible friends from across the world through our walks, talks & trips. But none of the world's 71m displaced people chose to become refugees. On #WorldRefugeeDay we renew our promise to make the UK a more welcoming place for refugees #WithRefugees
Ali Ghederi is one of the most articulate and compassionate young people we know. Ali will be on @bbcnews at 6pm and 10pm on Friday discussing the challenges of being an asylum seeker in the UK during the #covid19 pandemic. #RefugeesWelcome
The amazing Mila Steele is walking 50km for us! Can you spare her a £ or 2? All donations will go directly to running our walks & museum visits #neverwalkalone#RefugeesWelcome

On Sunday we climbed into our time machine for our 1st trip of 2020. Landing in #londinium, we watched #London get ravaged by plague & fire, hung out at a Victorian bar, before finishing the day with a shared lunch - Falafal, Albanian pie & Sudanese cake! https://t.co/U8oUaDPgaz
We'll never let a little rain dampen our spirits! Thanks to those who braved the weather for our last #NeverWalkAlone stroll of 2019.
We can't wait to kick things off again in the new year !
