Stephen A. Smith on the Lakers best players being white:
“I’m saying it. Your three best players are white dudes. This ain’t golf. And we got a whole bunch of brothers on team USA. This is basketball, what y’all think this is?”
(via @TheSASshow)
Let’s not bring up AD getting hurt against the suns.
Or Solomon hill taking out Brons knees
Or that trade that he asked the team to do that set us back about 4 years tho right?
I think one issue is too aside from kids being selfish, highlight culture, etc. Is that many evaluators don’t appreciate or respect pass first PGs. I see kids get praised for scoring and picked over pure PGs all the time. Until we change that, the issue will remain
I miss the days where point guards took just as much pride in getting assist as shooting the ball. PG’s shooting almost every other time down, and THINKING score first, every time is NASTY hoop lol..
Why should ANYONE care what Rich Paul thinks? Who is he? Genuinely has 0 basketball acumen or knowledge and only cares for his clients, which at the end of the day is all he cares about cause he wants to make more money. But that isn’t indicative of wins
Again, Rich Paul told the world (and the Lakers) what he wanted, which was to trade Austin Reaves... Now that the Lakers didn't listen, he's gonna recreate the 1997 Rockets in Golden State #LakeShow
because they embrace their blackness and they’re WELL SPOKEN & outspoken… and that makes you a THREAT in today’s world regardless of your profession
One of the issues with modern hoops is not that this is allowed, it’s that in the past the other team would have flagrant fouled you after. I’m not championing that behavior but I know for a fact this stuff wouldn’t be happening if it led to being clotheslined out the air
I have never associated Ben Stiller with the Knicks as it’s main celebrity. It has always been Spike Lee. going back to my damn middle school days, it was Spike Lee in a Knicks fitted on the sideline - even when they sucked balls. The fact that Stiller has somehow finageled his way as their *celebrity guy* & now the figurehead of this doc. Just feels like something that was stolen from Spike. maybe not, but it sure feels that way. I can’t be the only one noticing.
Idk what revisionist history this is supposed to be but this group got 1 season, one that ended with Kobe’s torn Achilles. Dwight was fresh off of back surgery and Nash didn’t stay healthy at all. Still they had major momentum leading into the Playoffs.
