Bonhoeffer made a powerful observation that is in harmony with scripture “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”(Proverbs 9:10 CSB). I believe fear as defined in this verse is more than feeling “scared”. It is a deep respect and awe of God’s holiness and supremacy.

I disagree with the idea attributed to Bonhoeffer in this video that the earthly forces that use our stupidity to achieve their ends must be destroyed to free us from stupidity. I am concerned this idea will lead to violence in disobedience to God’s will.

I believe the Bible tells us our faith in Jesus and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit will renew our minds if we honestly seek it. “Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2 CSB)

If we are renewed in Christ, we will help others do the same. “What, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? ”(Romans 8:31 CSB) As more of us change, His kingdom will spread against the evil in our midst.

Search your heart and mind. Are they aligned in faith with Jesus? I don’t know about you, but I frequently miss this mark and have to repent and ask forgiveness from our Lord.

Please pray to the Holy Spirit for the renewal of your mind. He will do it if you want it.

Children of visa holders are not US citizens until one parent is naturalized, or they become naturalized themselves, even if are born in the US before their parents are citizens. Children aged 18 or more when their parent is naturalized must become naturalized themselves.

Immigrants must be become naturalized US citizens within 7 years or return to their home country. Citizenship is a responsibility as well as a privilege. All residents of the US must become US citizens eventually.
