Great. Im glad you enjoyed them. Just those 2 stories fall flat compared to the other 3.

Dont care that she's a woman. There's plenty of women in the gears universe, people clearly havent read the comics or just delved any deeper.

Gears has always been about tenacity and doing what needs to be done. 4 and 5 lost that and kinda went a way of "well maybe we can fix it" instead of contending with the reality in the game.

Madden 2005 was roughly 50,000x better. 2k SUCKED.

the weird nostalgia for 2k has confused me for 20 years. You'll notice nobody ever reminisces about the gameplay and that's because it was atrocious.

The game may end up being good, I have no idea. I mainly worry that we have another "Spiderman 2" on our hands with the next GoW mainline title.

This game will do her story so it introduces her.

Next GoW title will have all 3 and you swap between them through the story and barely play as Kratos.
