I’m currently watching the Criterion release of THIS IS NOT A BURIAL, IT’S A RESURRECTION. Wow! And included is a great intro by the filmmaker Mosese. But when he speaks about the film 1990: Bronx Warriors, did Criterion show a picture from a different film (The Warriors)?
I got this gift from a friend and supporter of my YouTube channel—the @SeverinFilms 4K limited release of FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET! Wow!!!! Thank you my dear friend!!!!
I have just now uploaded a new video discussion on my YouTube channel, about TWIN PEAK FIRE WALK WITH ME. Please check it out if you are interested. A short excerpt is here:
Discussion on Criterion’s IMITATION OF LIFE is up on my YouTube channel. Special praise is given to Imogen Sara Smith and Miriam J. Petty for their exemplary work on this film and this release. Bravo and well done.
Joan Hickson as Miss Marple ❤️ I saw these as a kid when I was living in the UK in the 80s and 90s. Pictured here is the iconic end title graphic during the initial set of episodes, starting with the sublime 3-parter THE BODY IN THE LIBRARY.
Caught between the truth and a murderer's hand - it's one of Argento's most suspenseful films to date!
#OnThisDay in 1971, CAT O'NINE TAILS held its world premiere in Milan, 🇮🇹
One of my favorite Oscar moments—when Jeremy Irons won the 1990 Best Actor Oscar for Reversal of Fortune, in his acceptance speech he thanked David Cronenberg. (Pictured are releases of Dead Ringers from Criterion and Scream Factory.)
Another great read, thanks in large part to the wonderful introduction by @DrMarkAldridge. For example, you get the definitive background about the initial appearance of the double “N”s in “Quinn” and the transformation into “Quin” (single “N”). WOW!
@DrMarkAldridge I didn’t know for example that Katherine Hepburn had been offered the roles of Princess Dragomiroff and Mrs. Hubbard, for the 1970s film Murder on the Orient Express! It’s such a great read. I also love your take on the recent ABC Murders adaptation. 👍
I’m a big fan of this film. I spoke about the film on my YouTube channel during my discussions on disaster films, and now this year it will get a new release!! Very exciting 👏👏👏
Coming April 25th!

@biancaenera95@DrMarkAldridge Oh thank you for remembering that I mentioned it!! And also thank you for giving the book a try!!!! Yes for me I really enjoy the TV adaptation from the early 1980s very much. I have seen it so many times I memorized many parts.
I saw THE SEVEN DIALS MYSTERY LWT adaptation (1981) when I was a kid, and I have seen it countless times since! Much respect to @DrMarkAldridge whose book is THE BEST on Christie adaptations! The US DVD shows John Gielgud not as Lord Caterham but from EVANS I think 😅
