Insights from following up on the 1,600 learning professionals that joined our miniMOOCs on online social learning: 95% said social learning should be in the arsenal of learning professionals #atdsociallearning#ATD21
Has your use of online social learning increased the past year in response to physical distancing?
We are proud to see that our own @berden_jos and @GerDriesen are speaking at @atd'21 this year. They'll talk about online social learning and the lessons learned from our miniMOOC
@LnDConnect Tough one, curious though. Making a customer case about a training provider that delivers tailor made educational degrees for multinationals. Practical differences: content translated to their daily practise, lot more flexibility... #ldinsight
@LnDConnect Ah, can't really join today, working at a learning tech company ;) Obvious answer then; @aNewSpring. We also use it (more) for internal stuff; onboarding, etc. #LDInsight
@stellacollins @MarkHendyHR @aNewSpring @MarkHendyHR If you're looking for more info (maybe less objective than Stella's, but from an equally helpful intent) about aNewSpring; let me know!
Scrolling through the comments, I'm seeing a lot of friendly approaches, good intent, positiveness... True, but I'm also thinking; there's a grittier side to stakeholdermanagement. Know your politics, use the underflow and sometimes play the game... #ldinsight
As the 'events guy' at @aNewSpring, I'm seeing an overkill of online events. Too much *transporting* from offline to online. Networking, focus and the learning experience is lost that way. Proud of our initiative: a MiniMOOC on Social Learning: https://t.co/Lcjrh04z34 #LDInsight
@Brendan_Learn@aNewSpring We wanted to help out our network during the pandemic; we could have 'just' done a webinar or live online event on the topic Online Social Learning, but we've turned it into a MOOC. It's not a new concept, but learning while experiencing the method is really valuable!
@LnDConnect I'm thinking it will be quite comparable to how it affects learning solutions. It'll force event organisers to really think about what added value physically coming together will bring. What can be done just as well (or even better) online? Let's go blended events! #LDInsight
