@cedfunches Yes. 12 so far. All have recovered except 1. She came off of a ventilator after two weeks. She's conscious, but is still in critical care on oxygen (going on 2 months), stays sedated, and can't speak due to hole cut in her throat for ventilator.

SARS & MERS=25-50% death rate, but easy to get under control with quarantines
Covid19=1% death rate, highly contagious, impossible to isolate the infected or stop
What happens when the next one is highly contagious plus a 50% death rate?

@cullenjwilson @josephring4 Machines won't get hurt, don't sue, don't call in sick, don't need HR staff/managers doing work schedules, etc. It's safe to say that if you can be replaced with a machine, you WILL be replaced (even if you offer to work for free).

@jerodmcdaniel @heilharvesting Trying to cut production works the same way. If everyone cut production 20%, everyone could be profitable on the remaining 80%. You don't trust your neighbor to cut his production. So everyone maxes out production, and all end up selling ALL of their crop at a loss.

@sd1459 Also, you would expect the death rate to total number of cases go down slightly as we learn more about how to treat it.

@sd1459 If you died immediately, the two graphs should overlay. However, all things held equal, the "death" graph should lag the "new cases" graph by 3 weeks (the time between infection and death).
