@gabbyrose_wx I prob won't like orange anymore after october ends ๐คทโโ๏ธ but it's good to stick out when you're in a vehicle. Atleast you know people can see you๐ญ๐
I would lose every last cent of my money if it meant saving someone's life that right in front of me. I dont understand how someone wouldn't. You can make more money. You can't bring someone back from the dead.
Let me clear this up for you, waiting until the absolute end of a merging lane makes the merge harder and riskier, even though there are situations where using the full lane is actually appropriate.
The basic reason is you need enough time and space to find a gap.
You have more options earlier. If you start looking for a gap with some lane remaining, you can adjust your speed and merge smoothly.
At the very end, your options disappear. If nobody gives you space, you can end up braking hard or coming to a stop with the lane ending.
Traffic behind you has less time to react. If you suddenly have to merge at the last few feet, you may force another driver to brake or swerve.
Speed matching is easier earlier. You can accelerate/decelerate gradually rather than trying to force your way in at the merge point.
It can create a zipper effect when done properly. In heavy, slow traffic, though, using the entire lane and merging near the end can actually be more efficientโthis is called a zipper merge. That's different from flying past a long line of cars at speed and trying to squeeze in at the last second.
So there's an important distinction:
Moving over early in normal/free-flowing traffic: usually gives you more control and safety margin.
Using the entire lane in congested traffic and alternating at the merge point: can be the correct technique.
And if you're thinking about the kind of lane endings you deal with around the city where traffic can be stop-and-go, the second situation comes up quite a bit.
@gabbyrose_wx They don't even fucking try ๐๐๐ญ๐ญ it's so funny. When my husband was still in the army, a fake army general "oversees" tried to get me ๐
@MileyCyrusBz Entitlement sucks ๐ for the majority, you've done so much of this to yourself and now you expect more from your fans? Take your millions and shove it
While in @HarborFreight this morning a storm knocks out the power-
