Those who think Victoria pulling out of the Commonwealth Games will cause Australia “reputational damage” internationally should consider what would occur if a No vote gets up on the Voice.
About 10 generations ago, white people arrived here and took the land which Aboriginal people had occupied for about 2400 generations.
They aren’t asking for a treaty: jut that we LISTEN to them on issues which affect them.
Vote Yes for the Voice
"It was both [illegal and immoral] ... this was a war on people on welfare ... it was a poor-shaming, welfare-attacking, vicious attack and it was illegal." - @billshortenmp #abc730
@australian Nonsense. Did you read the statement? It is remarkably positive given the treatment of Indigenous people over the years. Take the map below, documented massacres of 6+ unarmed people...now that’s what militant looks like! #Yes23
My mantra: “keep doing what you’re doing - keep getting what you’re getting”. Indigenous policy in Au has failed every benchmark ever set. Which begs the question, why? Indigenous peoples say it’s because they weren’t asked! So there’s hope!! Yes!
We spend millions of dollars a year to improve the lives of Indigenous Australians, but the gap is getting wider. We can’t keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. The #VoiceToParliament will help governments ensure that taxpayer money is targeted correctly.
@GrogsGamut It’s a fine distinction. There are probably murders by people who aren’t murderous, thefts by people who aren’t robbers and lies by people who aren’t liars 🤔
Dear @abcnews,
Why are you not reporting this? 👇
Ian Viner, Fred Chaney & Peter Baume, who served in Indigenous Affairs under Liberal PM Fraser, issued a statement: "We support Ken Wyatt and Julian Leeser and intend to vote 'Yes' in the referendum." #auspol#VoiceToParliament
