I finally got my main account @berryeunu back after almost 50 days! 🎉 I'll be mainly using that one from now on.
Thank you all for following and supporting me here, it really helped me cope through all this. You guys are the best! 💙
The fact is, Cha Eunwoo is the youngest person on the list and none of his dramas were even released on Netflix until The WONDERfools, so this data doesn't even reflect that yet. He's only going to climb higher in next year's Hallyu survey
Week 5 and #TheWONDERfools is still on Netflix's global top 10. When a show drops all its episodes at once, the hype usually burns out fast. People binge it the first weekend, post for a few days, then move on. TWF was supposed to fade by now. It hasn't.
So many kdramas come out every year and most are forgotten within a couple months. The ones that actually mean something are the ones people are still watching a month later, still telling their friends about, still pulling in new viewers. That's the rare list. And I think The Wonderfools is on it
#ChaEunwoo
The child of eternity brought Lee Unjeong and Eun Chaeni together in The Wonderfools. Can't he do the same for Cha Eunwoo and Park Eunbin? Where is my two-shot? 😭
Eunwoo is an actor. He has worked and will continue to work opposite many actresses. They're his colleagues, people he respects, sometimes befriends. When the chemistry is great (which it always is with him), enjoy it. Hype it. Celebrate what they built together. That's the healthy response.
But projecting your fantasies onto real people online and then turning that into fights and arguments is not ok. Take a step back, take a deep breath and rejoin reality please
Something I really appreciate about Cha Eunwoo's filmography is how consistently feminist his dramas are. Every single female lead he's played opposite is a strong, independent woman with her own story, her own goals, her own arc. His characters help her out of a tough situation sometimes, but the real role is never possession, never saving her from her own life.
And it's not an accident. He just doesn't pick scripts where the male lead is toxic or the relationship is unbalanced. He never has. That's a choice he makes again and again, project after project and it tells you who he is as a person
They say, a director's best tool is an actor's face. With Cha Eunwoo, you don't even need dialogue. You just zoom in and let his eyes do the rest

cha eunwoo, park eunbin, choi daehoon and im seongjae. my lovely, weird, imperfect fools who pulled laughter and tears out of me like no drama has in years. thank you for being so beautifully, brilliantly foolish

For everyone wondering, this is the original pic, made by someone who actually watched and enjoyed all 4 shows. This version, on the other hand, was made by a miserable, hateful person who can't even praise their favorite shows without dragging one and they didn'teven watch it. Don't be like them.
Go watch The WONDERfools instead. It's funny, full of action and romance, has Cha Eunwoo and Park Eunbin and it's genuinely chef's kiss
eunwoo and eunbin made me believe that love doesn't only happen to people whose lives make sense. it shows up in the chaos. it shows up in the weirdness. it shows up anyway

Eunwoo and his pattern of choosing the most traumatized boys to play:
— MIIGB: mom left him, absent dad
— True Beauty: dead mom, absent dad, dead friend
— Rookie Historian: orphan outcast prince
— Island: kidnapped child turned priest with powers, lost his brother
— Wonderful World: heart disease, dead dad, comatose mom, revenge arc
— the Wonderfools: kidnapped, experimented on, lethal powers, completely alone
This man picks scripts based on how much suffering the character will endure. Every one of them is a lonely boy with no one. Where do we go from here?? Honestly scared for whatever comes next 😭
petition to get cha eunwoo and park eunbin in a dark melodrama where they play enemies who would destroy each other if they weren't already in love

So jealous of the people just discovering Eunwoo right now. They have no idea what's coming for them. They're about to lose entire weekends to this man and they don't even know it yet. Lucky them
the thought of eunwoo coming back from the military, picking up darker and heavier roles and bringing that mature energy to the screen with the way he already looks?? we are doomed and i mean that in the best way
watching cha eunwoo in this scene is something else. covered in blood, barely breathing and you can see everything happening in unjeong all at once. the loneliness he's spent his whole life carrying. the bond he didn't ask for. the fear of caring about people who might leave. the childhood he never really left behind. all of it, while he's fighting for his life. mature, beautiful acting
