The medical establishment. Kava kava has been shown to reduce inflammation, is anti-cancer, anti-anxiety, and is NINETY PER CENT successful in treating addiction and alcoholism. ‘Studies by Steiner suggest that kava may reduce cravings associated with substances of abuse, such as alcohol, tobacco, cocaine, and heroin [100]. Kava has also been used as part of addiction rehabilitation programs in New Zealand with a reported 90% success rate [101].’https://t.co/UxHFCNdRYA
A conversation between one of my assisted living residents, one of my caregivers and the resident’s doctor:
Caregiver: “(Resident) isn’t taking their Trazadone.”
Doctor to resident: “Do you want to stop taking it?”
Resident: “Yes.”
Doctor: “Ok I’ll discontinue it.”
Is it really that easy to de-prescribe?
We need to do more of it!
Just talked to someone out of state who contacted me through my website.
His Mom has Dementia. He likes what I’m doing but his siblings are against moving his mother to one of my assisted living homes. That’s fine. No problem.
I want to help out. So I referred him to @amindforallseas who can work with the family remotely.
As we talked, he said he’s been on the #carnivore diet for a while, has lost 120lbs and feels great.
It’s so great to hear stories like this!
For years I mostly ignored Triglyceride levels in lipid profiles I WAS WRONG It’s an important marker of cardiovascular risk ! And one that responds so well to diet Here is an example of a 400% improvement in TG /Trig ratio 👏👏👏👍
1/3 The only reason the Triglyceride:HDL ratio is a good predictor of CVD is because it is a surrogate marker for predicting Insulin Resistance. Insulin Resistance, Inflammation & Infection can induce an imbalance in glucose metabolism that generates chronic hyperglycemia, /2
Gout is a metabolic disease, not a problem of eating too much meat or shellfish. Yet, the advice is often to stop eating the healthy food.
If you want to cure your gout, stop eating sugar, too many carbs and drinking alcohol.
I have a lot of people asking me about what we’re doing in our assisted living homes to help elderly people become healthier.
So I decided to put together an email list with updates on what we’re doing and how you can help your elderly loved one.
There’s also a checklist of simple, inexpensive things you can do to help them at home. If you’re interested, please sign up at:

If Red Meat causes Diabetes then we should see diabetes rates spiking in those on a Carnivore Diet, and yet what we really see is A1c's returning to normal...
This is a propaganda hit piece. The article with no scientific basis or factual study links climate change, red meat and men. They are doing everything in their power to cause you to hate us, blame us and get rid of us. Wake up, my friends. https://t.co/ueIBrq7kuf
If you’re not ready to help yourself get healthy, nobody can help you.
Let go of preconceptions, stay open to learning, embrace trial and error.
On your journey, you will find many people willing to help you. But remember, it begins with YOU.
Insulin resistance is a defense mechanism by a cell that is full and doesn’t want any further fuel at the moment. So they close the door.
Unfortunately this means the fuel needs to go somewhere else and get stored. Those other areas, visceral fat in and around the organs and vasculature aren’t made to CHRONICALLY store excess fuel.
Diabetes occurs when the healthy fat cells have no further room and only the inflammatory fat cells and visceral/organ fat depots accept the fuel, grudgingly. As stated already, this is not healthy, is highly inflammatory and is what we call Pre-Diabetic physiology.
So Insulin Resistance is not a cause of anything but more just a chronic overfeeding leading to an imbalanced metabolic state. It is the metabolic state that is chronically storing excess fuel from excess feeding that is the issue. The best solution is to empty the excess fuel storage depots which allows the body to be insulin sensitive once again.
Other things indeed cause insulin resistance. Poor sleep and stress are important factors. But the biggest driver by far is the quantity, quality and frequency of carbohydrates a person eats. The hormone insulin is pumped out every time glucose is eaten...and it is this constant exposure to insulin that drives...insulin resistance.
💥 Blue print for “my doctor told me to go on a statin”
1) ask them what your lifetime & 10year risk is and what the expected benefit is from the statin?
2) ask them the effects of statins on muscle, liver, diabetes, cognition, mitochondria, effects on micronutrients
3) ask them how statins work
4) ask them what the value is of vascular imaging like CAC, CCTA, femoral artery & carotid artery ultrasound
5) ask them what the alternatives are and what all-cause mortality benefit they have
6) ask them if they have received any training on cardiovascular risk stratification
7) ask them if they will respect your values if you decide to abstain
Screaming this louder for the people in the back and the new people.
If you allow yourself to stay in a space influenced by people committed to negativity and the casting of shade, you are literally handing them your death certificate for them to sign.
This is more than just something for people might quote. It is reality. It is science. It is indisputable.
Every one of our bodies responds to negativity, whether it be from our own thoughts or the people around us as an allergen. A part of the immune response to this allergen is that it cannot possibly know how to process it. Thus the provocation of widespread, full-body inflammation follows as a means to protect your body's cells from it.
Inflammation is the number one cause of almost every chronic illness today. You will never be healthy in such an environment. It is not possible.
Thus, if you have somebody committed to negativity in your life, you have 2 choices. To love yourself enough to distance yourself from them, or to love them enough to die for them. Your choice! :-)
What 5 Foods Contribute to Optimal Health? 🌿
Eggs Whole eggs (with the yolk) are high in protein, nutrient-rich, choline and provides powerful appetite control that can lead to fat loss, promotes muscle growth and brain health.
Olive oil is very powerful thanks to its very high polyphenol level. It is powerful in reducing inflammation, promotes heart health, cancer prevention and brain health.
Tea Whether black, green, oolong or white, teas contain unique compounds like flavan-3 ols and catechins that supports overall health, cancer protection, heart disease protection, gut health. Green tea is exceptional with its high EGCG amount.
Coffee also high in polyphenols and has been found to increase longevity and protect against heart disease. It's also linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes and depression. 2-3 cups a day.
Dark Chocolate is not only delicious but exceptionally healthy. It contains cacao which is packed with numerous antioxidants — actually more than green tea. It helps improve heart health, memory loss, blood sugar levels, gut health, skin health and more. Choose dark chocolate not milk chocolate.
I stopped fearing polio when I learned these few things:
-- Poliovirus is an Enterovirus
-- There are over 100 Enteroviruses that infect humans
-- Every enterovirus can infect the nervous system and cause paralysis
-- Enterovirus infections typically present as a cold
-- We will likely come into contact with a strain each day (Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease is a great example)
-- There is no vaccine for any other enterovirus
-- Our government no longer douses our air, food, and bodies with lead-based pesticides and DDT like they were before and during the polio epidemic.
-- Heavy metal poisoning looks similar to a severe polio infection
