And are Christians or any group immune to crime or violence? Absolutely not. Every community has its share of offenders and millions of law-abiding citizens. When the government fails to protect its citizens, fear fills the vacuum, and that fear can be mischaracterised, then escalate into hate, and ultimately become something far worse. We must confront insecurity head-on, without criminalising entire ethnic or religious groups.
