The Government of the Republic of Somaliland firmly rejects the misleading claims made by the Somalian President and reaffirms Somaliland’s sovereignty, state continuity, and exclusive authority over its foreign relations.

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
Man City guilty of ALL charges.
£900m is batshit crazy.
For context Everton got docked 8 points for £25 million.
The sanctions hearing will be an all-timer.
🚨🇮🇱 NEW: Israeli captain Manor Solomon says he is “proud” of the IDF following Ireland’s refusal to shake hands with Israel in yesterday’s Nations League game
“Our country is ten times better than theirs”
@N7J23 My brother married a Moroccan woman, wedding started at 12am and food was served like 5am. Most of us just had a few bites and gave up.
Sister-in-law has since made a few Moroccan dishes and they're ayt, it just wouldn't be my first choice or second or third...
Because he has taken a stand, Gavin Bazunu is going to be the target of coordinated abuse for the rest of his career. It will be relentless, and it will likely go far deeper than football. He’s going to need the Irish on his side. I hope we don’t let him down.
Hearing from several sources around Ireland hotel that agents are telling players you must play our you'll never play for a US owned team in the UK.
How grim and predictable from faceless agents who profit in the background.
Dear Markus Mullah, I respect you as an academic but disagree with your take on Somali Affairs:
First, most African governments do not control 100% of their territory and Somaliland is no different. Furthermore, JSL controls exponentially more territory then the FGS.
Second, Somali society is clan-based so Somali democracy will naturally be affected by it (just like democracies in race-based or ethnic-based societies are).
Nonetheless, Somaliland is the only country in the Horn to host free and fair 1P1V elections. I had the pleasure of being an official International Election Observer, and even during my opposition never denied SL’s democratic achievements.
I had a productive meeting with Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi yesterday.
Somaliland has already established itself as a reliable partner for the United States on a range of issues, from countering terrorism to protecting shipping around the Horn of Africa. We discussed further strengthening the U.S.-Somaliland partnership.
I have been pushing the United States to deepen our partnership. I am committed to securing American recognition of Somaliland’s sovereignty and, in the meantime, I’m urging the State Department to stop treating Somaliland as the same as Somalia. The U.S. should establish a region-specific Travel Advisory specifically for Somaliland, which would reflect the reality on the ground.
I look forward to continuing our work to advance our shared security interests.
Since SAF left THIRTEEN years ago, Arsenal have finished above United TEN times, (10/13) and currently have finished above them 5 years in a row
In addition to winning more titles, FA Cups, yes and Community Shields
They’ve finished in the top 2 just twice in over a decade
We finished THIRTY TWO points ahead of them in 2025
Of our last 15 PL games against each other, we’ve beaten them 9 times and lost only 3
I am still confused as to the audacity with which their fanbase and legends speak to/about us

This Syrian old man hid his private library in his home in the city of Damascus since the end of 2011 before escaping to Kuwait out of fear of the Assad regime, where the mere presence of a banned book could lead you to Assad's gulag and death under torture.
Today, the uncle returned to his library and completely removed the wall behind which he had hidden it, revealing valuable books that the Assad regime prohibited possessing and circulating.
At Hudson Institute in Washington, D.C., I delivered a clear message: Somaliland has earned its place in the world. For 35 years, we have built peace, democratic governance, security, and dependable institutions in one of the world’s most strategically important Geographic crossroads.
Today, Somaliland offers the United States a stable and reliable partner at the gateway to the Red Sea, ready to advance maritime security, regional stability, trade, and shared strategic interests. We are not asking the world to build Somaliland. Somaliland is built, functioning, and ready for partnership.
The geography speaks for itself. The time for deeper engagement is now.
🚨BREAKING: Watch President @Abdirahmanirro deliver a major strategic case for Somaliland in Washington.
Addressing the Hudson Institute, President Irro highlighted Somaliland’s history, the failed 1960 union, the 2005 AU fact-finding mission and the genocide suffered by the people of Somaliland.
He presented Berbera and Somaliland’s strategic location as a major opportunity for the United States, emphasizing its maritime access, stability and the absence of competing foreign military bases.
President Irro also urged Washington to recognize the contrast between Somaliland and Somalia, pointing to Somaliland’s record of security and noting that no U.S. service members have been killed in Somaliland over the past 25 years.
He offered Somaliland’s strategic partnership, Berbera and an Ethiopian corridor as tools to strengthen U.S. maritime security and counter growing Chinese influence in Djibouti and Somalia.
His message to Washington was direct:
Look at the map. Geography is the witness.
A major strategic message from Somaliland’s President to the United States.
