99% of space weather is waiting.
Waiting for the Sun to do something, waiting for all the data, waiting for models, waiting for the storm to maybe arrive, waiting for southward Bz, waiting for aurora or waiting for the storm to end (if you’re negatively affected by said storm).
@NorthernSkies5 THANK YOU. If im flying over anything interesting I am using my window! Looking down from 30,000 feet is such a powerful perspective and it will never get old
@JeremyCruzWX@Vincent_Ledvina It has now reached the point that people are sending me this post and asking me about it. I had to set the record straight 😤
@ClassicPlayz_ I think it’s most likely a bad thing, but you never know with these things. If it were to arrive tomorrow we’d probably miss the best part of it, but it’s always possible the storm lasts into tomorrow night and that part of the storm ends up having more favorable bz 🤷♂️
Some of the low energy protons are stalled, while some of the higher energy thresholds are continuing to climb. Not really sure what this can tell us about the CME. Based on STEREO HI2 imagery it does seem we have some ways to go with this
@frapepppemaria Is there a way to get video for the black and white version (sorry I don’t know what that kind of image is called)? I see a video for the one in the picture you just sent but can’t find one for the one you sent where I can see the cme. I’m super new to looking at STEREO imagery!
