I wasn't expecting this from LLMs, but they are one of the greatest gap bridges to using neovim out there. You can split a pane vertically, nvim in one and Claude in the other, and ask Claude questions about keybinds. Spend two days doing this, and you can improve substantially.

@QueDijoQueDijo Indeed, writing much less code nowadays. It's good to be able to focus on the core and fundamental parts. I still attempt to "vibe" code because so many people are just pushing to prod like that apparently but still failing 😂

One thing I'm noticing and experiencing with AI-assisted development is that the effort required to iterate with the LLM is so significant that it increases the mental cost of reviewing our own work afterward, leading us to accept lower output quality than before.

@QueDijoQueDijo I guess this can be mitigated by creating rules about domain expertise and code semantics and style. But I feel like there's a limit where a domain expert would be more precise writing code rather than writing specs still.

@QueDijoQueDijo If you're building a moderately complex feature the code deep in method bodies can be quite convoluted. Usually a simpler implementation exists but the effort to go and think through the code is quite big and you are kind of already biased towards the model solution.
