Be sure to tune in to "The Big Take" on Newsmax this evening at 5:30 pm! Our chairman, @davidlbernhardt, is joining Christina Bobb as she fills in for @edhenry to discuss what it takes to execute high-profile Independence Day events ahead of @realDonaldTrump's historic #Freedom250 celebration.
This week we gather to celebrate 250 years of American independence. It’s a special time for Americans to honor our nation’s past while looking ahead to a bright future.
@Freedom250 has a range of events planned. In Washington, the Great American State Fair is well underway. It’s a warm up for the main show – the Salute to America Celebration and Fireworks on July 4th.
These national observances build on the success of major July 4th celebrations during President Trump’s first term that truly raised the bar. Our Founder and Chairman, former Interior Secretary @davidlbernhardt, was instrumental in planning the “Salute to America” in 2019 and 2020, including music, military flyovers, a massive fireworks display, and an address by President Trump. Secretary Bernhardt also helped lead efforts to bring back the Mount Rushmore fireworks display in 2020, scheduled for July 3rd this week.
It’s not summer in Washington without the Congressional Baseball Game.
What began in 1909 as a friendly competition among Members of Congress has evolved into one of Washington’s most recognizable traditions, while raising money for charities that support families and youth throughout the region.
Our team was pleased to attend this longstanding Washington tradition and the organizations it supports across D.C.
Congratulations to the Republicans on last night’s win!
Last week, we celebrated The Bernhardt Group's anniversary with many of the clients and partners who have supported our firm along the way.
A special thank you to our stellar team and our friends who joined us to mark the occasion.
One year ago today, we launched The Bernhardt Group!
Thank you to our clients for trusting us with your priorities, welcoming us as an extension of your team, and supporting our work.
Partner @ColeRojewski joined the @almondalliance annual conference to discuss federal advocacy priorities, trade dynamics, and the policy challenges shaping the future of the almond industry.
Our team is grateful for opportunities to spend time with clients on the ground and work to strengthen the policy landscape for one of the nation’s most important crops.
Celebrations of America’s 250th anniversary are underway across the country. Few projects better represent our nation’s achievements than the Hoover Dam.
It’s often noted that the ingenuity and scale of the Hoover Dam could not be replicated in today’s regulatory environment.
How to alleviate regulatory roadblocks and advance permitting reform continues to dominate conversations in Washington, particularly as the administration looks to scale infrastructure and energy projects in support of its America First agenda.

Appreciated the chance to have been part of this key announcement in Utah. This is an important step for Utah and nationally for our economic and national security. This project fits perfectly within the President’s critical minerals strategy.
The Bernhardt Group Chairman, @davidlbernhardt, was pleased to join American Tungsten & Antimony in Utah last week.
AT4 is working to strengthen U.S. critical mineral supply chains, including through its new antimony processing facility in Cedar City, Utah.
Congratulations to our friend Francis Brooke on his nomination to serve as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury.
With his deep understanding of sound economic policy and dedication to advancing American prosperity, Francis is an outstanding choice to serve in the No.2 role at Treasury. He has dedicated his career to public service, serving in leadership roles in the White House, the Treasury Department and Capitol Hill. We commend the Administration for recognizing Francis’ expertise and leadership record of delivering for the American people through this nomination.
From shutdowns to three-year funding cycles...
GOP leaders are expected to advance a reconciliation bill funding ICE and Border Patrol through 2029, but the path toward passage still requires the Senate to follow the Byrd rule.

Proud to share that our founder and Chairman, @davidlbernhardt, was named one of @washingtonian's 500 Most Influential People of 2026.
As a lawyer and policy advisor under multiple administrations to leading DOI, David has helped shape American energy policy for decades and continues to be a trusted advisor in Washington.
We’re proud to help the Strata Production Company & Independent Petroleum Association of New Mexico organize discussions with leaders in Congress, the White House and BLM on key policy issues facing the industry last week.
Independent oil and gas operators are critical to U.S. energy production – creating jobs and securing our domestic supply.

🌲Forest Service Heads West: Last month, the USDA announced that the Forest Service would move its headquarters to Salt Lake City as part of a larger reorganization of the agency.
Tasked with managing the U.S.’s 193-million-acre system as well as timber production and research, the move will position the Forest Service closer to the bulk of land it oversees and the people who depend on it.

Today marks a major win for U.S. mineral development. Passage of the CRA in the United States Senate represents a significant step toward unlocking domestic copper and nickel resources, supporting American jobs, and strengthening supply chains through projects like Twin Metals Minnesota. This action overturns a 20-year mining ban that sought to hamstring long-term critical minerals development across North America. The Bernhardt Group looks forward to continuing our work with Twin Metals as a key partner in advancing these priorities.
By a vote of 50-49, the #Senate passed H.J. Res. 140, Public Land Order No. 7917 Cook, Lake, and Saint Louis.
