[German Velasco @germsvel]

A huge thank you to @brainlid and @bernheisel for having me in the @ThinkingElixir podcast several times and listing things I’ve done countless times.

You’ve been a wonderful part of the community. Thanks for putting all the hard work. 🙏

Announcing https://t.co/dIPm7iCS7I 🎉

The new home for Lua, the pure-Elixir Lua 5.3 VM for @elixirlang.

Scriptable, sandboxed, stupid easy.

Embed untrusted code (AI agent tools, user formulas, plugins) all on the BEAM, zero NIFs.

Plus a live playground 👇

[ThinkingElixir @ThinkingElixir]

Ecto 3.14 ships UUIDv7 support, Oban Pro adds human-approval workflow steps, Hologram v0.9 brings pure-Elixir realtime push, @Dashbit shares Tidewave's Git integration design, and the NSA drops new Zero Trust guideline, and more! @ElixirLang #ElixirLang https://t.co/YLNl0rIbdm

[José Valim @josevalim]

Elixir v1.20 released! Now officially a gradually typed language: Elixir type checks every single line of code, finding bugs and dead code, without developer overhead (no typing signatures) and extremely low false positives rate. Plus a faster compiler! Links and reports below.

It’s true! After 6 years of weekly episodes, the Thinking Elixir Podcast will be ending on June 23rd. Three episodes left. It’s been an incredible run and I’m grateful for every listener who came along for the journey. #podcast #MyElixirStatus #ElixirLang

I believe in the EEF! @TheErlef

I'm on the board so I get to see first-hand the amount of work and toil that goes into making the #ElixirLang, #Erlang & greater #BEAM ecosystem better.

What I also get to see, though, is how much we need your help. Relative to the revenue generated by companies that use Elixir, the EEF has a pittance.

Most of us know what's happening the OSS world and security right now. What you probably don't see is the massive amount of coordination and scrambling going on at every level to secure the open source ecosystem. While this may have been operating at a sustainable pace before, the advent of AI has fundamentally changed the game.

The EEF maintains a CNA, and actively coordinates and advises across the board on security issues. They are helping to make our languages more secure, and even https://t.co/VVBtFqrccb!

But the bad news here is that this is no longer sustainable. We need people who are generating revenue on the BEAM ecosystem to pitch in. We need a bigger team of people solving these problems because what we have is barely enough as is.

The real problem, however is that this is progressively getting worse by multiple orders of magnitude. CVEs coming in left front and center.

This is a tragedy of the commons. People are not helping foot the bill for our open source ecosystem. Before that used to mean "inconvenience", as you had to fork packages or version mismatches. But now? Now it means getting pwned.

Join me in becoming a member of the EEF, and please, if you run a company built on a BEAM language: DONATE.

[José Valim @josevalim]

If you saw this and thought: "damn, I'd love this for my Rails/Phoenix/Django/Next/etc app", then Tidewave is exactly you want :D

[ThinkingElixir @ThinkingElixir]

Episode 300! News includes the Localize library v0.15.0, a new program dependence graph tool called Reach, #Tidewave voice input and #PWA support, @TheErlef 2026 elections, plus a special in-depth interview with @JoseValim! #ElixirLang @ElixirLang https://t.co/fFTtDMOoLB

[Erlang Ecosystem Foundation @TheErlef]

🗳️The EEF Board is Having its 2026 Election!

As a community-driven foundation, our board is elected by our members—who can both run and vote.

Each year, members have the opportunity to take part in shaping the future of the EEF.

@chris_mccord Does this work with https://t.co/FfiqQpV2oy? eg, give claude-code this task and access to a draft https://t.co/FfiqQpV2oy app, have fun?

[Paulo Valente @polvalente]

Thanks to @tvlabs sponsoring part of my time on open source and @dashbit + @TheErlef sponsoring another developer's work on Nx, after a few long months we're finally able to run Stable Diffusion on the Mac GPU on EMLX!

https://t.co/ARCFuhgKrY

Expect a new EMLX release soon!

[David Bernheisel @bernheisel]

I'm still missing some good friends on Bluesky! I'd really love to see you there! A lot of us are already there.

[David Bernheisel @bernheisel]

I would recommend finding some Bluesky starter packs on this feed

[David Bernheisel @bernheisel]

PSA for #MyElixirStatus folks. Bluesky has launch velocity for the Elixir/BEAM community. If you were on the fence before, now is a good time to re-engage.

Personally I'm putting X on the back burner a bit.

[David Bernheisel @bernheisel]

So I'm not saying ditch X-- I'm just saying Bsky is a good place too and I'll be posting there more often and reducing my time on X. Hope to see you there

[Theo - t3.gg @theo]

Elixir made me the developer I am today. I gave a talk about it, and I just posted the video now.

[David Bernheisel @bernheisel]

Happening in 10 minutes!

[Dave Lucia @davydog187]

I will be live streaming building a @elixirlang Igniter installer for @opentelemetry tomorrow at 11 AM ET

Come hang out in the chat https://t.co/FVBHzGDP6k

Video will be published after #myelixirstatus
