inside burrbear: the protocol changing stablecoin liquidity
while everyone's focused on memecoins and ai agents, @moneygoesburr has been quietly building defi's most sophisticated liquidity engine for a $200b+ RWA market.

their goal? to revolutionize stablecoin liquidity and yield through novel pools benefiting users, liquidity providers, and the ecosystem as a whole.

in a space obsessed with short-term hype, they've taken the long road - developing tech that could change how certain assets are swapped on-chain, creating community through 3 strategic nft drops, game theory, and tossing in a memecoin for good measure.

and yup, they’re doing it all on @berachain.

let’s dive into what makes burrbear stand out, what you can actually do in their protocol, and how it all ties into berachain’s boyco campaign.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

burrbear 101

at its core, burrbear is a one-stop solution for stablecoin trading in the berachain ecosystem, but calling it just another dex would be missing the point.

the problem with trading stables and real world assets (RWAs) has always been capital efficiency, high slippage and fragmented liquidity.

these aren't just trader problems—they're structural issues holding back the entire RWA vertical.

burrbear solves this through three innovative pool types:

➟ multi stable pools: perfect for assets that trade near parity, like different USD stablecoins

➟ burr pools: 20x more capital efficient than traditional pools for any kind of stablecoin or RWA

➟ generalized pools: classic constant product pools for everything else

imagine being able to trade $1m of stables with the same slippage as $50k elsewhere. that's the power of burrbear.

the real innovation isn't just the pools - it's how they work together. by optimizing for specific asset types rather than trying to be everything to everyone, burrbear creates deep, efficient markets where they're needed most.

they supports:
• tokenized real world assets
• stablecoins (fiat-backed, commodity-backed)
• tokenized t-bills
• on-chain synthetics
• hardware-backed tokens
• price-tracking assets

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

token system

$burr is the governance token for the protocol with 100m total supply, distributed as follows:

• 20% public sale: tokens purchased by early community backers
• 15% pre-sale: for launch partners and printer nft holders
• 4% ecosystem fund: grants for innovation
• 20% lp incentives: for liquidity providers
• 6% protocol owned liquidity: via @eatsleepyeet bonds
• 10% team: 4-year linear vest
• 5% airdrop: for early supporters
• 10% market making: dex/cex liquidity
but burrbear isn't a single-token protocol. they've engineered a 3-token system that creates perfect alignment between traders, LPs, and governance:

$burr: the foundation
• core ecosystem token powering everything
• used for rewards, governance, and boosting
• burned when converted to $burrrv

$burrrb: the booster
• minted by depositing $bera
• used by pool operators to juice their yields
• boost duration: 2, 4, or 6 weeks
• rewards scale with amount and lock time

$burrrv: the power player
• governance token
• 1:1 lock ratio with $burr
• lock periods from 4 weeks to 12 months
• voting power scales with lock duration:

the magic happens in how these three tokens interact:
➟ lp deposits liquidity and gets $burr
➟ stakes $burr for $burrrv to get governance power
➟ mints $burrrb with $bera to boost rewards
➟ longer locks = more power + higher yields

to put it simply: $burr is your base asset, $burrrb is your yield multiplier, and $burrrv is your governance power.

together they create a flywheel where active participants get rewarded, long-term holders gain influence, pool operators maximize returns, and paper hands get penalized through early withdrawal penalties and burns.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

strategic launches: building value pre-mainnet

they didn’t just build a protocol — burrbear dropped three nft collections as membership passes, designed to create value and loyalty for their followers while adding depth to the community.

1. berome powells (june 2024):
• 100 pieces at 0.1 eth
• last sale: 1.49 eth
• 17 eth total volume

2. bearet yellens (august 2024):
• 175 pieces at 0.2 eth
• last sale: 0.55 eth
• 17 eth total volume

3. beary benslers (october 2024):
• 365 pieces at 0.3 eth
• last sale: 0.3 eth
• 10 eth total volume
each collection rebased from the previous one, taking inspiration from berachain’s bong bears. if you held the first nft during the snapshot, you got the second, and so on, rewarding early supporters and adding layers of exclusivity.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

the road so far: timeline

q5 2025:
• burrbear joins boyco

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

the boyco breakthrough

in january 2025, burrbear was selected for boyco - berachain's pre-launch liquidity platform.

boyco fixes the cold start problem for bapps. launching a new app on chain is tough without liquidity early on. with boyco, apps can build liquidity markets before the mainnet drops. it lets protocols and liquidity providers negotiate directly, with transparent rewards, making sure liquidity's accessible from the start and ensuring a smoother launch.

the platform was developed in collaboration with major players like berachain, royco, enso, layerzero, and stargate, making it a cornerstone of berachain’s ecosystem.

burrbear’s involvement in boyco is crucial for several reasons:

➟ critical liquidity infrastructure: by providing RWA liquidity, burrbear helps build pre-mainnet markets, bootstrap liquidity pools, and establish efficient trading paths, ensuring dapps have the liquidity they need from day one.

➟ solid positioning and recognition: being selected for boyco boosts burrbear’s reputation within the berachain ecosystem. it shows the community and berachain foundation that burrbear’s liquidity solutions are essential for a successful mainnet launch.

➟ strategic advantage: burrbear gains a competitive edge by securing early liquidity and demonstrating its value, positioning itself for success when the mainnet goes live.
this isn’t just another partnership—burrbear’s locked in as a key player, setting the stage for a solid, fully liquid mainnet launch.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

key insights

strengths:
• revolutionary pool design with 20x efficiency
• strong technical foundation
• clear token utility and governance
• strategic boyco positioning

challenges:
• complex tokenomics might need explaining
• execution risk at mainnet
• competition in RWA space

areas to watch:
• initial liquidity deployment
• boyco performance
• governance participation
• launch execution

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

the bigger picture

while others chase short-term narratives, burrbear's been methodically building infrastructure that could reshape how RWAs trade on-chain.

what makes them special isn't just the tech (though 20x efficiency is no joke). it's their strategy of combining:

➟ sophisticated market design (multi-pool system)
➟ clever tokenomics (three-token alignment)
➟ community building (strategic nft drops)
➟ perfect timing (boyco selection)

they've essentially created a business that looks like a meme on the surface but functions like serious market infrastructure underneath.

crypto likes to talk about bridging tradfi and defi....burrbear's actually doing it - one efficient pool at a time.

pretty impressive for a bunch of bears.

@Brylant888 @FjordFoundry @berachain @moneygoesburr @honeypotfinance Vesting BURRRv lock period will countdown at the same time as vesting is ongoing. For example, if you receive BURRRv on month 3, if you choose to unlock then the waiting time is 6 mos - 3 mos = 3 mos remaining. Note that BURRRv is transferable while locked.

[realTaki @realTaki42]

Many people may not know that @moneygoesburr cut Treasury and Advisor tokens to 0 this time, making the team's exit 10x more difficult than originally planned.

On the other hand, FDV was compressed to 5M, and the presale terms were relaxed, providing a larger upside and an easier exit way to protect your interests in this round as investors.

Furthermore, this presale round is completely WL-based, which is essentially a benefit for the Berachain community.

If you are lucky on the whitelist, don't miss this opportunity.
