Best sports movie ever — Miracle, of course. Hockey was never a sport that caught my attention until I saw this movie. The true story follows the 1980 USA Olympic team as they make their way to win it all. It is heartfelt and motivating — intense and full of passion. #3863Fall20

My last sports movie worth mentioning is Concussion. It wasn’t until recently that people started caring about the health of athletes. In 2015, it highlighted the dangers of the sport and opened a public eye to the permanent brain damage that happens to NFL players. #3863Fall20

Another great sports movie is Moneyball. I saw this with my dad when it came out in 2011. Baseball movies are elite and seeing what all goes behind budgeting, scouting and player analysis made me respect the sport even more. “Based on a true story...” always gets me. #3863Fall20

Kassidy De Lapp and Abbie Winchester are two other potential leaders in my opinion. Having worked together as teammates for two years now, this duo on the court will dominate the offense and defense as the season progresses. Speaking the success into existence. 😤 #3863Fall20

After losing the star of last seasons team to Texas Tech, the OSU Women’s Basketball team is looking for a leader to emerge in this upcoming year. #3863Fall20

Natasha Mack might be one of these stars. She had a great season last year and I have no doubt she will continue to improve and make an impact on Jim Littell and OSU’s win record. #3863Fall20

I would say Amen Ogbongbemiga is the defensive MVP this far. He has 43 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season — and the Cowboys have only played 6 games. In these six games, the linebacker has helped OSU’s defense dominate. #3863Fall20

Tylan Wallace is the Cowboys Offensive MVP thus far. His ability to secure catches and gain yardage is a talent OSU has desperately needed for quite some time. He has 588 yards this season — his average yards per catch is 17. That’s worth mentioning. #3863Fall20

Isaac Likekele will be sharing the spotlight this season. The talent on the 20-21 team is admirable by many. But as the season approaches, the junior point guard will have to ensure he remains united with the team to keep all eyes on the success of the Cowboys. #3863Fall20

Freshman Cade Cunningham definitely has a lot ahead for him. It may not be easy, though. Another challenge for Boynton will be containing Cunningham’s excitement as a college player. He’s going to have to stay focused this year to make the pokes look good. #3863Fall20

Every season of college basketball presents new challenges. For OSU fans, many wonder how Coach Boynton will manage such a new but talented team? With an 18-14 record last year, only time will tell if this team can live up to the hype. #3863Fall20

My last major surprise of the 2020 season is the performance of the Kansas City Chiefs. The reigning Super Bowl LIV Champs have a 5-1 record right now but have left fans doubtful throughout all six games. Mahomes looks great still, he’s only thrown one interception. #3863Fall20

Following an appearance in the playoffs just last season, another huge NFL shocker is the Minnesota Vikings 1-5 record so far. Looks like they’re still searching for their groove though — they have yet to consistently play their three QB’s in any of their 6 games. #3863Fall20

One of most shocking things to happen this NFL season was Dak Prescott’s injury last weekend. After a devastating ankle break, he was carted off the field in tears. Sometimes we forget that players are people too, but there wasn’t a dry eye as he left AT&T Stadium. #3863Fall20

3. Men’s Soccer. There are so many people who don’t even know we don’t have a men’s soccer team (🤦🏼‍♀️) but I think the university would benefit so much from adding men’s soccer to its Athletic Program. It’s a very competitive sport and who doesn’t want more competition in college?!

If this whole COVID thing wasn’t happening and OSU was considering adding varsity sports to its Athletics Department, here are some of the sports I’d be in full support of... #3863Fall20

2. Gymnastics. A men’s and women’s team. It’s so fun to watch. OSU has such a great cheerleading program and there are lots of people on the team with gymnastics background that could help us compete nationally. And if we could establish ourselves successfully, we would dominate.
