I’ve been fighting Narendra Modi and the RSS for over a decade now. I understand them like you would understand your opponent - inside out, like the back of my hand.
The core characteristic of these people is cowardice.
Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Gyanesh Kumar and Ajit Doval, the villains of this story, are slowly finding the space closing around them. We are closing that space.
Mr. Modi, do whatever you want. Call out all the police: 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, whatever you want.
Arrest all the leaders. Arrest all the young people. Arrest us all.
We are surrounding you, and we are not going to back down. Mark my words: we already have the information we need.
We are going to defend our Constitution. We are going to protect the voice of the Indian people. And we are going to ensure that what was done to India over the last 10-15 years will never, ever be done again.
Youth of India, I am proud of you. Keep protesting. We are standing with you.
We are going to ensure that this regime and the people who have attacked our Constitution are defeated.
The resignation of the Education Minister is an acknowledgment that accountability in a democracy cannot be indefinitely evaded. It comes after weeks of determined, peaceful voices raised by students, parents and citizens across the country who refused to be ignored.
It also comes after far too many young Indians faced unnecessary police brutality and force for exercising their democratic right to peaceful protest. That should concern every citizen, regardless of political affiliation.
But accountability does not end with a resignation. The deeper failures that brought us here must now be addressed through transparent reforms, institutional responsibility and a commitment to ensuring that no young Indian’s future is jeopardised again.
The students who marched, spoke out and peacefully persisted deserve to know that this is the beginning of reform, not the end of the story.
The first casualty of state brutality is the record/evidence of it.
Accountability is fixed on the basis of evidence, but evidence has a short shelf-life and sometimes crucial evidence is lost, which impedes justice and accountability.
It needs to be preserved.
So, if you were present yesterday, or know someone who was, at the protests, preserve evidence.
The following categories of evidence (photos, videos, audio) may be relevant, by way of example:
1)Personnel not displaying name plates, badge numbers, or unit identification.
2)Persons in plain clothes acting aggressively alongside uniformed personnel, or with their acquiescence.
3)Use of force, and force disproportionate to the occasion. For eg : Instances of force suddenly being used without warning and without any provocation.
4)Persons retreating, fallen, or offering no resistance - including women and young - and still being struck.
5)Refusal of medical aid, water, or obstruction of those rendering it.
6)Damage to public or private property, and who caused it.
7) Stones, damaged vehicles or other material, if any, where they lay, and when they first appeared.
8)Any identifying detail captured : vehicle numbers, unit markings, names.
9) Keep the record of medical injuries through photographs, hospital records, prescriptions, MLCs, etc. (If govt. hospitals/doctors are not entertaining you, go to a private doctor to preserve evidence of your injuries.)
10) Any property destroyed, phones seized/destroyed, spectacles, etc.
11) Whether people had a reasonable opportunity to disperse through safe exit routes, if and when a declaration was made.
12) Note the names and contact details of the people who would be willing to testify later, who were with you. Details of any police/medical calls made and response.
13) Preserve the original recording device and the original, unedited files. Also, maintain secure backups in more than one location.
Note: Don't just rely on evidence available on social media handles, as it may expire or may be taken-down/not preserved.
Remember, authentic evidence is what finally leads to Truth and Justice.
I don’t understand how it’s become a new normal to demand accountability from ministers while never questioning the PM, who appointed them and leads the cabinet. It’s remarkable how questioning and accountability seem to stop at Modi, as though he is somehow above both.
Nobody wants #SonamWangchuk to die. The person who can save his life today is Abhijit Dipte. Convince him to end his hunger strike. Take him to a hospital.
If Abhijit wants to make a point, he can start a hunger strike himself but spare Sonam.
Don’t turn an old man’s life into a political campaign.
@harikeshavr@HarshKapoor_ Let’s see who we get. Happy with both. Anyways, who do you reckon we get in other positions? LW, ST and LB? And also maybe a CB? With Zirkzee and Rashford leaving?
@harikeshavr@HarshKapoor_ never said he is not a good player. Just mentioned that he had a poor game. Also, Baleba is young, agreed did not have the best of seasons but the season before that was excellent and even in last season he showed some potential, some intensity and willingness to make tackles.
@FPLfrasier Absolutely dreadful. Did nothing since coming on. France’s midfield was so open all game reminded me of Ten Hag’s time at united, we used to get run over every game and the midfield was always so open.
@FPLfrasier@FPLfrasier thoughts on Kone after today? Do you think he might be the “marquee” signing?
Isn’t Baleba still a better fit for us? Knows the league well, more physical and a proper ball carrier.
Thoughts?
@FPLfrasier Now that we have signed two very reasonable priced players in the midfield and given that we wanted to big with Fernandes and all the money coming in the club. I really think we should be in a good position to sign a good striker. Sell mount if needed. @FPLfrasier
@FPLfrasier Ideal Transfer Window-
1. Baleba
2. Lewis Hall
3. Jackson
4. Nusa/Summerville
5. Lacroix
Outgoings-
1. Zirkzee
2. Rashford
Baleba would add so much physicality, a defensive demon. Jackson is a proper striker runs in behind. Nusa a proper dribbler.
Thoughts @FPLfrasier

1. Baleba
2. Lewis Hall
3. Nicolas Jackson
4. Nusa/Summerville
5. Lacroix

@HarshKapoor_ I think more than cb we are in desperate need of a proper no. 9. Last season we missed out more on scoring goals than at the back. Onana will help us out more at the back but we need a 9 to let Rashford and Antony express themselves more.
