What better place to learn Bioregionalism than in a living, breathing bioregion?
The ATREE Academy for Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies invites applications for the second iteration of its Certificate Course on Bioregionalism, set in the unique and dynamic Sundarbans Delta.
This 3-day residential course (19–21 February 2026) takes participants into the Indian Sundarbans to explore bioregionalism as lived reality—where ecology, livelihoods, culture, governance, and climate change intersect. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives, the course examines how bioregional thinking can inform more just, resilient, and ecologically grounded futures.
Following its successful first edition in Auroville, this iteration offers a deeply place-based learning experience for researchers, practitioners, educators, and professionals working across environment and development.

@sejarnold @LChittka Absolutely! We have to know more... :-)
Nectar compositions in plant species are very varied, at least in terms of sugar/amino acid/fatty acid content or +/- volatiles ... as in literature and as seen through pers. obs.
This bit on caffeine is quite fascinating! 👌
