@NEBylines I did a Geog PGCE in '21 and then didn't go on to teach for exactly the same reason. My 'outstanding' SCITT taught no climate change until GCSE syllabus required it, then 3 mostly physical geog lessons. I thought knowledge was power?!

@virginmedia I am in the seventh circle if hell trying to contact you. I can’t get through as I dont have a Virgin landline or A/C no that I can access. The online advice is for acute situations. Ours is chronic we lose connection many times every day.

@jruddchemist During the war we sent our sons to fight and die. At one point we had 6 weeks of food left. We just about bankrupted the country. Now we can’t even change our lifestyles. Even though it’s our carbon in the atmosphere. We’re ALL at war with a silent enemy.

@geography_paul @JackieSeidel1 Think we need to be careful over egging indigenous peoples. It can be alienating. There’s lots we can learn, but they shouldn’t be held up as ‘the answer’ they have lots of problems too!
