I’m only answering question 10. I will no longer give my permission to this government provincially or federally. The question ballots are separate. It’s Alberta Independence or Bust!!!! LETS GO ALBERTA!
You will never convince me the general public doesn’t have a whole lot of “I would LOVE five minutes with these people” rage bottled up right now.
And politicians know it.
You almost never see them just walking around living like normal people. It’s security, private access, taxpayer-funded travel, meals, staff, pensions, perks and an entire bubble separating them from the people paying for it.
Then comes the part that pisses people off even more: the rules somehow never seem to hit the powerful the same way they hit everyone else. Scandals, conflicts, family connections, broken promises, questionable spending… and somehow there’s always an excuse, an investigation that goes nowhere or everyone just moves on.
Meanwhile, regular people are told to pay more, accept less, follow the rules and stop complaining.
And while everyone is fighting over left vs. right, race, religion, gender, referendums and whatever outrage we’ve been handed this week, nobody is looking up at the people who benefit from all of us staying divided.
That’s the dirty trick.
Keep the peasants fighting each other while the protected class keeps the perks, power and protection.
We didn’t get rid of kings and queens.
We just renamed them “government.”
Victor Davis Hanson lays out that no one in America told Canada to import the equivalent of 45% of its population from non-assimilating sources, abandon its fossil fuels and pipelines, chase solar power in a frigid climate, accept the lowest GDP growth among industrial Western nations, or accept being $30–40k poorer per person/family than Americans. Nor did anyone force Canada to lead the world in assisted suicide as a cost-saving measure. Those choices—and the resulting inability to fund open borders, defense, or fair trade—came from Canadian leadership, not from Washington.
MAJOR BREAKING - New ATIP documents obtained by CBC show panic in the department of finance
as the Alberta Referendum nears
page 16 shows that Alberta contributes $18B to Canada MORE than it takes
and that it contributes 31% of EXPORTS, with only 12% of the population.
Also, on per capita basis, Alberta residents contribute the most to Federal coffers.
Alberta, you are in charge here, they are FREAKING OUT. Canada needs YOU, you dont need THEM!
🇨🇦🛢️⛴️🌏 : Mark Carney admits the world needs Alberta oil and wants to bring Alberta oil to the world.
Folks, Justin Trudeau cancelled multiple pipeline projects and raised carbon taxes on Canadians for a decade.
This includes a private funding proposal to build a refinery in Kitimat, to bring high value oil, diesel and gasoline, to the world.
Liberals spent a decade telling us we must phase out our oil & gas, or the planet would burn. They even tried to mandate that only EVs would be sold in Canada.
In reality, Canadian oil & gas was sidelined to provide maximum profits to US oil giants, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Russia & other ultra wealthy oil rich nations.
Canadians became poorer and the Canadian economy was put in economic stasis.
Liberals never paid a price for mocking, shaming, overtaxing & abusing Canadians.
Instead, as always, it's Canadians who pay the price. Today, our taxes increasingly pay interest on Federal debt, Liberals have more than doubled, in 10 years.
What did Canadians get for that debt? The answer is, economic paralysis & mass immigration, a collapsed healthcare system & a government that hides what its true intentions are.
For over 15 years I called for Energy East to be built, so Canada could power Europe. I renew that call today. It's the pipeline of prosperity for all of Canada and could unify us, like never before. Build it with capacity for oil & gas.
Instead of never ending deficits, Canada could go back to the days of surpluses & paying down debt, instead of accumulating record amounts of it.
Congratulations, Mark. You’ve discovered that investors like lower taxes. Someone - quick - get the Nobel committee on the phone. Now try discovering the other half of the equation.
You can advertise the lowest marginal effective tax rate in the G7 until you wear the ink off the brochure, but capital isn’t going to stampede into Canada if investors still have to crawl through a regulatory obstacle course, wait years for approvals and perform the mandatory climate-policy interpretive dance before they’re permitted to put a shovel in the ground.
Investors compare more than tax rates. They compare cost, risk, timelines and certainty.
If you actually want investment, slash the red tape, streamline approvals, drop carbon taxes and stop treating every major project like it has to pass a climate catechism before anyone is allowed to determine whether it makes economic sense.
A wonderfully competitive tax rate on an investment nobody is willing to make creates exactly zero jobs, zero projects and zero economic growth.
Anyone with 7 brain cells to rub together knows that. Maybe give your 6 a break and they might get you across that finish line after a rest.
Mark Carney decided to tell New York Times Canada is preparing for risk of U.S. Invasion even after U.S. admiral said do you also want my battle plans for the Martians too? That’s the level of absurdity we’re dealing with.
@MarkJCarney How is selling our profitable airports safer and better for us Canadians? Likely one of the few profit centres that Canadians have invested via taxes and generates a profit.
🚨BREAKING: The Alberta Transition Council has released its fully costed financial assessment for an independent Alberta.
After paying for every service Ottawa currently provides, it projects Alberta would still have $22.2B to $32.1B left over every year. That works out to $4,390 to $6,350 per Albertan, every year.
