๐จ Something big just happened in insurance and almost no one is talking about it.
IRDIA held a crucial meeting to fix one of the biggest pain points in the industry: slow and frustrating grievance resolution.
Hereโs the breakdown. ๐งต๐

That is why you should always focus on the core cover.
Check whether the sum insured is adequate and whether the plan has no room-rent limit, treatment-wise sub-limits, co-pay, etc.
Treat age lock and similar features as added perks, not the main reason to buy a plan.

A 54K Dengue claim was rejected.
A follower fought and won the case with Ombudsman.
8 months ago, he reached out to Beshakโs Free Claim Helpdesk with a rejected claim.
Customer had first applied for cashless, which was rejected.
Insurer said โadmission for evaluation and investigation is excludedโ
But the medical papers told a different story.
Customer had Dengue + chikungunya together.
Persistent high fever.
Liver inflammation.
Blood in urine.
We asked him to get a letter from the treating doctor on the hospital letterhead.
Still the insurer rejected, and asked customer to go for reimbursement.
After multiple back and forth, even a physical investigation, the claim was again rejected for missing documents, when no more documents were available.
Our research team helped him file a case with Ombudsman.
Finally, in June 2026, he came back with the update.
The Ombudsman passed the final award completely in his favour.
Yet, it took multiple submissions, a field investigation, and finally an Ombudsman complaint to get it resolved.
Thatโs not how health insurance should work.
Till it doesnโt, you have the Experts at Beshak who are going to make it work for you.
