Coaching cycles start today! Just saw the launch of To Kill a Mockingbird in ELA 8 and heard one of the best kinds of questions from a student: "Can we start reading the book now?!?" Something tells me it is going to be a great year in @PaulPCS ELA classrooms βΊοΈ
Last day for @PaulPCS teachers today! What a year. So very proud of the ways Team ELA showed up for and supported students this year. Their creativity and care came through in each and every Zoom lesson. A little break for me and then back into SY21-22 planning. Onward!
Had my final three coaching close outs today with the awesome @PaulPCS middle school ELA teachers. We shared highlights in teacher and student growth. We also discussed goals and supports for next year. Grateful grateful to have found much joy in journey with them this year!
@Elon_Ed Proud 2008 Teaching Fellow alum βΊοΈ Teacher preparation and development is a pivotal factor in student achievement. I'm excited for the next generation of Elon teachers!!!
I was in the βroomβ yesterday and Iβm a *bit* biased, but I was so impressed by how Ms Sanabria has adapted this discussion structure for the virtual setting! Students set norms/goals, created some of their own questions, and did a self assessment at the end! Letβs go Team ELA!
ELA10 Honors students completed their study of Macbeth with a Socratic Seminar. Student responses highlighted their depth of understanding and analysis.
S/O to Ms. Sanbria for creating a space that invites inquiry and discussion. We encourage building upon one another's ideas!

Charlotte Spann wants to develop a generation of scholars and leaders who are serving, advocating, and lifting up the collective and not just the individual. So excited about her work at @PaulPCS! #CLOCMatter https://t.co/tIJiP79Mjh
