My art journey!

As a kid in school I hated art, anything to do with art I was just not good at. Teacher said draw a circle, my circle didn’t look circly.

As an adult I just never developed the ability to draw. My whole life I felt like art was not my thing. Then I found NFTs, I started off mostly chasing wealth, but slowly found myself trying to make art to win something, and for the first time in my life, I actually started to enjoy it.

I tried a few different things before I found a style that I felt comfortable with - Scribbles.

Now the reason Scribbles works for me is that I don’t have the skill or knowledge to make perfect lines and keep everything to proportion. With a Scribble, it’s meant to look messy, the not perfect lines are what makes it look just right.

I’m definitely no master artist and to be honest, every time I drop some art I’m scared I’ll be judged and even ridiculed, but still it has been an awesome journey pushing myself outside my comfort zones.

Next week I’ll be dropping a small 444 collection as a free mint. I tossed up charging $1 for it, but decided to go with free and hope it gets into peoples wallets that want to support an artist (I still don’t feel like I can call myself an artist yet). If there are no secondary sales I won’t be upset.

So if I can do art and put it out there for everyone on the blockchain, what can you do that you have been scared to do your whole life?

This little naked Block Scribble is rocking the Hystie monocle and the Black shine tribute to my Space Rider fam.
