Today, all Y7 pupils had the chance to experience space when @LUniverse__ PhD students Alex & Pascale brought their 'Planetarium' to Ripley. We want to bring out the scientist in everyone & nurturing a sense of wonder about space is a great way to do this @ScienceRipley
@mathsjem@mathsjem during the session you used an animation, video or gif demonstrating Pythagoras with blue and yellow cubes - can I ask where you found it? Looking to incorporate it into my lesson this week.

One of my favourite edu-books ever written is Making Every Lesson Count by @atharby & @shaun_allison. It’s a practical & accessible book based on their 6 principles of great teaching.
Check out this double page summary… (complete with cool new illustrations!)
Do you teach in a state school and have students offered interviews to do Maths at Oxford or Cambridge? Please get them to sign up for our @Advanced_Maths free interview practice https://t.co/i0htasfhKf
Thanks so much to everyone for joining #mathstlp this evening! What a fantastic experience to get everyone sharing resources and ideas.
If you missed it, I've summarised some of the great resources shared here. https://t.co/Vu0nXisz3y
See you again next Sunday at 7pm!

I have made a backwards fading / fill in the blanks worksheet on surface area of cylinders that I thought I would share.
Just like the Pythagoras one I posted earlier this year.
All answers included (any mistakes let me know!)

All done!
For context, I do starters for every class based on 4 (ks3) or 6 (ks4) previous topics. The length and difficulty of the questions varies from class to class, but it gives every lesson a routine calm start and an opportunity to get targeted retrieval of prior learning.
Final batch of circle theorems resources. Hopefully something for everyone, including two activities to introduce some of the circle theorems through isosceles triangles, another mixed practice grid and, for the IGCSE folk, intersecting chord and secant theorems practice. Enjoy!

To help with instructional coaching, support with maximising lesson time, increase participation/thinking ratio and to ensure all classrooms are inclusive, we have started to put some exemplar/rationale videos together.
If there are of use, then please use/discuss.
