Long time newspaper man, founder of the Riverfront Times, and co-founder of Donnybrook, Ray Hartmann, has been killed.
The 73-year-old Richmond Heights man died after two tires came off a semi truck and hit his car yesterday afternoon.
The crash involved a St. Louis City trash truck and occurred in a back alley off Broadway. You can still see it’s holding a dumpster above itself. The truck has since been backed up and a black tent has been erected around the body. @kmoxnews

St. Louis City firefighters knocking down a fire that had broken out in an unoccupied home where the tornado had ripped through St. Louis 11 months ago. Crews on scene say the home was unoccupied and they were able to contain the fire without making entry. @kmoxnews

The Missouri House has passed a bill that would update the state's DWI laws. Rep. Dave Griffith is the sponsor of the proposed "Melanie's Law." Melanie's sister watched as the House passed the bill 141-5. The legislation moves to the Senate for more work. #moleg#mogov
A moment of silence this afternoon as the body of a fallen officer is transported from the hospital. Officer Gregory Triplett, 58, died during a medical emergency while in a training exercise. He was with the department for going on 32 years.
