It just hit me, she also vocally supported the very MAGA Kid Rock by including him on her 2023 duet album Rockstar to the ire of the left. When The Hollywood Reporter pressed her about it, she told them, "Just because I love you don't mean I don't love Kid Rock."

Yet I don't believe that made her secretly MAGA. I don't believe her consistently refusing to denigrate Donald Trump made her secretly MAGA either.

I believe (because she so often said so) that she didn't want to be a political figure and there's only one side right now refusing to respect that.
