When people tell me that they want to get back into reading but can’t seem to find THAT BOOK, I have some go-to recs based on what made them love reading in the first place
— here are 56 of them 🧵
@EmilySkailes There’s always hope! It’s an entry level role so publishing experience is certainly not required. Instead, just show you have good knowledge of children’s books and recent publishing, that would be super helpful!
📖 New, new, new! 📖
@scholasticuk is looking for a Product Assistant to join them in #London. If you are passionate about getting 📚 into the hands of every child, apply for this #EntryLevel role by 21/05.

One of the best things about my job is definitely all the wonderful book post! I’m so lucky to get to work with lots of different children’s publishers✨
It’s been a while, but I’ve got a Book Hangover - you know that feeling when you finish reading a really good book (especially one in a series) and you just sit there reeling and can’t stop thinking about it? ...Yeah, that
Today was supposed to be my last day working as a children’s bookseller at Waterstones.
Instead, it’s my last day as a bookseller on furlough, and I’ve already been at home for two weeks, which isn’t nearly as exciting but oh well!
With all Waterstones stores closing at the end of today, this will be my last day working as a bookseller (but with two more jobs working to sort out the store to close)! I was meant to be leaving just before Easter, but obviously that’s not happening anymore...😣
I’ve loved my time with the team at Hitchin, and it’s bittersweet for it all to be ending like this. Especially not knowing anything about whether my new job (in London) will actually start in April... but here’s hoping!!🤞🏻
