VISTA School Engagement Coordinator: bringing STEM activities to schools in Blaenau Gwent!

Last week our Yr 11 attended a STEM careers event, in partnership with the VISTA project.
Pupils had the opportunity to meet with employers that work in a STEM related field but are all based within Blaenau Gwent.

Year 9 seized their opportunity to attend an in-house Careers Fayre today, featuring a range of local and multinational companies and representatives from BGCBC
Everyone engaged really well, asking questions and getting advice and information to help them decide for their future

Year 6 had a visit from Bethan from @usw to conduct a STEM science experiment using carbon dioxide as part of our Science and Technology curriculum to demonstrate global warning. We measured the temperature of the air, observing the temperature rising because of carbon dioxide 🌎
