i think if your listening age on spotify wrapped is older than your actual age it’s cool and good and it makes you intelligent and interesting. if your listening age is below your actual age you need a psychiatric evaluation to understand why you’re the way that you are
The comments on this post really show how clueless the public are.
It shouldn’t still be surprising, but it is:
- They don’t know what resident doctors do
- They think we also do private work
- They think we’re guaranteed to become Consultants
- They don’t believe we pay for our own training
- They assume we work with Consultant oversight at all times
- They don’t believe Physician Assistants are paid more than Physicians
- They are allowed to base their lives around earning money, but you should be happy being paid in bread rolls because you chose a ‘vocation’
These attitudes are why the UK is currently a third world country
Ngl the vibe I'm getting from most other residents is that striking for pay is not their priority. They’re more concerned about training numbers + non doctor roles. I’m sure many won’t be happy to hear this but it’s what I’ve noticed from speaking to many other residents.
